Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is going to launch on October 28 which is almost three months away but several in-game images of the upcoming shooter may have leaked online after Activision invited various NFL players to try their hands at an early version of the game, as per a report by Dualshockers.
The first in-game image of the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer was leaked via a tweet by @ModernWarzone. The image reveals a new UI design of Modern Warfare 2’s lobby screen. Something that stands out is the “game code” option for private lobbies, which was absent in 2019’s Modern Warfare.

Several other images have also leaked, says the report. They include a “blurry picture of the new DMZ mode”, a mode which Infinity Ward has not confirmed and new Multiplayer maps for the game. The rumoured ‘DMZ’ mode is said to be be inspired from the extraction-style elements seen in Escape from Tarkov.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The game will continue the story of Task Force 141 and will come with a new Multiplayer experience. The game’s teaser trailer indicated that Call of Duty characters like Simon “Ghost” Riley, Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, and John “Soap” MacTavish will be featured in the game, which got confirmed later. The first person shooter will also introduce Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas as one of the key characters.
After the launch of Modern Warfare 2, Activision has plans to introduce players to a new Warzone experience which is expected to launch shortly afterwards. The new battle royale version of Warzone could be named ‘Warzone 2’.
