Princess Charlotte has been compared to her grandmother Princess Diana and great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in an “adorable” series of clips that have gone viral after being uploaded to social media platform TikTok.

The video has gained over 340,000 views since it was posted by user katemiddleton.id and has received in excess of 31,000 likes.

A compilation of press footage from official engagements, the video has gone viral in a year that has seen Charlotte, 7, undertake her busiest schedule of public appearances to date including the events planned for the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June and a special Commonwealth Games solo appearance with her parents earlier this month.

Throughout the Platinum Jubilee events, when Charlotte was in attendance, a number of commentators and social media users observed how the little princess took on a mature role in correcting her brothers on how to behave in public.

One of the clips included in the viral TikTok video shows Charlotte batting down her brother Prince Louis‘, 4, hand which was then compared to a clip of Princess Diana doing the same thing to a young Prince Harry during the 1990s.

The captions for the video state that “Princess Charlotte’s leading lady energy is inherited,” “She can calm the boys like nanny Diana,” and “She keeps the order like granny Elizabeth.”

The video then shows how the princess has mirrored her mother Kate Middleton and great-grandmother, the queen’s, mannerisms in public.

One clip shows Charlotte attempting to copy her mother’s curtesy to the monarch on Christmas day in 2019, and a second shows the young royal replicating her great-grandmother’s iconic wave on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in 2017.

Social media users interacting with the video have praised Charlotte, with one comment reading: “She’s a lovely child, and such manners!! Great parenting there mom and dad.”

“You just see the wheels spinning…she’s always observing and thinking,” posted another, with a third adding: “She has all the best qualities of the Queen, Princess Diana, and Kate.. Strong, Loving, Beautiful.”

Charlotte shares more than behavioral similarities with grandmother Diana and great-grandmother the queen.

When the princess was born in 2015, William and Kate paid tribute to the two royal matriarchs, naming their firstborn daughter in their honor; Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

Royal fans were treated to a rare opportunity to hear Charlotte speak in July when she appeared in a special video message to the England women’s soccer team who were preparing to play against Germany in the UEFA Women’s Euro championship.

Sitting with her father, who is the Football Association (FA) president, Charlotte appeared on camera in the video uploaded to the royals’ social media channels as William said: “We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight. You’ve done amazingly well in the competition and we’re rooting for you all the way.”

To this Charlotte responded: “Good luck and hope you win, bye!”

Earlier in the year when visiting the soccer team at their training ground, William revealed that his daughter is also a fan of the game, claiming she could be a potential player.

“Charlotte wants me to tell you she’s really good in goal. She said ‘please tell them that,'” he told the teammates, before adding that she could be “a budding star for the future!”

The young royal herself revealed that she was a fan of more than just soccer during a visit to the Commonwealth Games with her parents on August 2.

Speaking to a staff member of SportsAid, a charity nurturing the talent of young athletes of which Kate Middleton is patron, the princess was asked what her favorite sport was, to which she replied: “athletics.”

The Cambridge family are currently reported to be considering a move to the countryside where a cottage on the Windsor Castle estate has been speculated as a potential new home.

Royal commentators have claimed that the move would be beneficial given that the grounds of Windsor Castle afford greater privacy than those at Kensington Palace. The wide expanses of parkland would also allow the princess and her siblings to practice their sports skills.
