It topped the charts for several months after it was released, and more than three and a half years later, has still enough legs to make performances go viral.

A reel of Sean Tenedine, an entertainer in the US, dancing to the catchy number ‘Rowdy Baby‘ from
Maari 2 is now a crowd-puller on Instagram.

The reel begins with a text insert which says, “When my Tamil neighbors are playing music.” Sean steps out of his house, there is Rowdy Baby playing in the background, he throws away his ear buds, puts his shades on à la Dhanush, and then proceeds to nail the Tamil superstar’s dance moves in the song.

“Idk what happened again,” he captioned it

Five days after it was posted, Sean’s video has 2.5 million views and 3.1 lakh views, with Indians flooding the comments section with applause for pulling it off so energetically well.

Sean’s Instagram bio shows he lives in Charlotte in North Carolina and is an entertainer, actor, dancer and ‘infrequent’ singer. He is familiar to many Indian audiences for his reaction videos to Bollywood songs on YouTube, and has in interviews spoken about his love for Indian popular music and dance.

The chartbuster ‘Rowdy Baby’ was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and sung by Dhanush and Dhee. It’s an electric dance number by Dhanush and Sai Pallavi, and the video on YouTube has notched up more than 1.3 billion views since it was posted in 2019.
