Suspected Bandits Sack 12 Communities In Chikun, KadunaJanuary 11, 2021
A village head in Gwagwada of Chikun LGA of Kaduna State, Mr. Gambo Yusuf mentioned suspected bandits have sacked twelve communities, along with thousands and thousands of Naira value of property destroyed in Chikun Native Authorities Space of the State.
Mr. Gambo made the revelations when a Group, Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) alongside civil society group introduced aid supplies to the Internally Displaced Individuals (IDPs) in Gwagwada village of Chikun LGA.
Mr. Gambo who was visibly shaking whereas receiving the objects on behalf of the IDPs, famous that, most of them paid ransom to the Gunmen every now and then for them to stay within the space.
In keeping with him, the villages sacked are: Kadori, Kaduna Katuka, Gofa, Chikun, Sape, Kadiso amongst different villages.
” In Chikun ward, suspected gunmen have already taken over some villages. Lately, the bandits killed seven of our youths who tried to defend our folks.
In keeping with him, residents of the neighborhood have been within the IDPs for the final two years, including that, they’re able to assist the safety in any means.
” We all know the bandits’ hideouts. We are able to lead safety brokers to their hideouts, however we can not go there alone,” he mentioned.
Coordinator of the IDPs camp, Mr. Maji Gbagyi Zanus mentioned the camp has registered over 1,000 individuals together with ladies and kids who’re urgently in want of medical, foodstuffs and different valuables.
